A bit of explanation on our policies. If you need clarification on any item,
please write and ask!
NOTE At the current time, we are limiting our sales to United States
and Canadian addresses only. That may change in the future.
Terminology:
- Guaranteed not DOA
- If we sell an item as "guaranteed not DOA" (Dead on Arrival) that means
we have tested it or it is new and we are pretty sure it works. If for some
reason it does not work we will replace it with a similar item if we have
one or we will refund the purchase price and shipping of the original
item. If an item is replaced, we will pay the cost of shipment of the
replacement item to the buyer. Replacement or refund is contingent on the
buyer returning the original item to us and our determination that the item
indeed does not work.

- Sold "As-Is"
- If we sell an item "As-Is" that means we sell it with no guarantee and the
sale is final. We will list in the ad if we have tested it or not and the
results of the test if we can actually test the item.
Terms:
- All sales are final.
- Unless the item has been marked as "guaranteed not DOA" the sale is final.
- Buyer prepays
- Pretty simple. You Pay - We Ship. No CODs.
- Buyer pays shipping and any insurance
- Again, this is pretty simple. Unless we mark an item as free shipping, the
buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Any insurance costs are always
at the expense of the buyer.
- Cashiers Check or Money Order in US funds only.
- At the present time we prefer to accept only those methods of payment.
- READ THIS NOTE ON PAYPAL PAYMENTS!
- We will accept payments through PayPal but it may cost you extra. For transactions of over
$15.00, PayPal charges us a percentage. That percentage is 1.6% of the total if you pay by
check or by funds transfer and 2.2% if you pay by credit card. We will pass that percentage
on to you. (Sorry!) In return, we will make every effort to ship the item out the next
business day. If you are in a hurry, use PayPal. If you can wait a few days, send a money order.
- We notify by email on receipt of payment and when shipped.
- Its a little more work for us, but it keeps you informed.
Shipping:
On Jan 7th, 2001 the Post Office raised thier rates!
- Actual shipping costs
- We try to charge only for the actual shipping costs for all items. We
currently do not sell a high enough volume of items so obtaining shipping
boxes and packing materials has not been a major expense yet.
- We ship USPS priority mail when ever possible.
- We like priority mail. Its simple and easy, when the item being shipped
is under two pounds. It also costs a set amount which makes it easier for
us to set up an auction ad. The post office even supplies the boxes free!
- Alaska, Hawaii and Canada may be higher.
- The post office charges $3.50 for shipping under one pound and $3.95 for
shipping up to two pounds to anywhere
in the continental United States - Otherwise known as the "lower 48". We also
use delivery confirmation ($0.40) so we know when delivery was made. The Post Office
does charge more for Alaska, Hawaii and Canada.
- Parcel Post mail available on request.
- If the buyer asks for it, we will ship an item by Parcel Post or any
other method if possible.
- Insurance available on request.
- We do not pay for insurance on shipments but will include insurance at
the request of the buyer. Insurance through the post office (how we normally
ship) is $1.10 for up to $50.00 in value. For items over $50.00, they charge
more. We do try to pack everything as carefully as possible, using bubble-wrap
and foam peanuts whenever practical. PLEASE NOTE! If an
item is not insured and it is lost or damaged during shipment, it is NOT OUR
PROBLEM and there is nothing we will do in regard to refunds or replacements.

Returns:
Items that are marked "guaranteed not DOA" may be returned for a replacement
or refund if the following conditions are met:
- The buyer must contact us by e-mail within one week of receiving the item
with an explanation of the problem.
- The item must be returned to us. Shipment of the item to us will be at
the expense of the buyer.
- We must determine that the item actually does not work.
- For shipping damages to be covered, the original shipment must have been
insured for the value of the item.
If an item is marked "guaranteed not DOA" and was damaged during shipment,
we will not replace or refund it unless the shipment was insured.
